Dr. Bala Basak Oven is a proficient Medical Oncologist of BAU Medical Park, Goztepe Hospital, Istanbul. Her clinical interest lies in breast cancer, lung cancer, Gastric cancer, and colon cancer. She is highly trained and has years of experience in treating cancer patients. She obtained her medical education from the reputed institutes of Turkey. Dr. Bala Basak Oven completed her graduation in 2000 from Istanbul University, Cerrahpasa Faculty of Medicine. Later in 2006, she obtained her specialization training in Internal Diseases from Haydarpasa Numune Training and Research Hospital. During 2007-2008, she practiced at the Department of Internal Medicine, Validebag State Hospital. She also did a Minor Specialization in Medical Oncology from Dr. Lutfi Kirdar Kartal Training and Research Hospital in 2011 to further advance her knowledge. Before her association with BAU Medical Park, Goztepe Hospital in 2018, Dr. Bala Basak Oven served at Eskisehir YunusEmre State Hospital and Haydarpasa Numune Training and Research Hospital as a Medical Oncologist. She has also completed various courses and certificates internationally. She did a Breast Cancer course from Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele Hospital, Italy, Gastrointestinal Cancer Course from Ospedale San Martino Hospital, Italy, and an Anti-angiogenic Approach to Cancer Treatment Preceptorship Program from David Geffen School of Medicine, USA. Dr. Bala Basak Oven is affiliated with multiple associations, including, European Society of Medical Oncology, Medical Oncology Association, Anatolian Medical Oncology Association, and Turkish Thoracic Society. She has won multiple awards from National Medical Oncology Congress in 2008, 2009, and 2010 for her valuable contribution to the Oncology community.
