Dr. Belma Ascic Buturovic from the department of Endocrinology is an expert in hormonal health. She acquired a Bachelor’s degree from the Medical University of Sarajevo, Yugoslavia and a Master’s Degree, MD and PhD from the Medical University of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. She received a certificate of Appreciation from American Embassy in Sarajevo for her good work. Her journey as an endocrinologist commenced with the Clinical University Center of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, then at the Saudi German Hospital, UAE and subsequently at Al Zahra Hospital, UAE. She is an associate professor for endocrinology at Internal Medicine and Diabetology at Medical University, Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Her specialty spans the treatment of diabetes (type 1 and 2), gestational diabetes, thyroid gland disorders and benign and malignant tumors. pituitary gland disorders and tumors, parathyroid gland disorders and tumors, adrenal gland disorders and tumors as well as menstrual circle irregularities. She is also competent in managing endocrine hypertension, PCOS, androgen excess, acne and excessive body hair growth, osteoporosis, reproductive disorders, Insulin pump therapy for Type 1 and 2 diabetes, sterility treatment for men and women. She has managed hair loss, acne and hypertension caused by hormonal disorders, and obesity and insulin resistance. She speaks English fluently.
