About
Dr. Cem Alhan is a highly accomplished Cardiovascular Surgeon and is well-known for performing Robot-Assisted Surgeries. He is currently associated with Acibadem Maslak Hospital, Istanbul, Turkey. With more than 33 years of clinical expertise, he is one sought-after medical expert and surgeon. Dr. Cem Alhan has successfully performed over 14000 heart surgeries to date. He is a specialist in performing Bentall Procedure, Heart Port Surgery, Cardiac Valve Replacement, Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG), VSD Closure or Repair, and similar complex procedures. Dr. Cem Alhan obtained his graduation degree from Istanbul University, Cerrahpasa Faculty of Medicine in 1984, after which he did his compulsory service. Later in 1991, he completed his specialization in Cardiovascular surgery from Siyami Ersek Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery Center. Alongside, he started working there as a chief assistant. He became part of Acibadem Maslak Hospital in 2009 as the founding director of Cardiovascular Surgery and is now serving as clinical director. He is also a faculty member of Acibadem University. In addition to this, he is an essential member of the Turkish Society for Cardiovascular Surgery (TKD), the European Association for Cardiothoracic Surgery (EACTS), European Society for Cardiovascular Surgery (ESCVS), and the Cardiothoracic Surgery Network. He has also provided robotic surgery training in different countries, such as India, Germany, Kuwait, and Qatar. Dr. Cem Alhan is also one of the first trainers to perform Ozaki Surgery in Europe. Besides his clinical expertise, he has done extensive research work in Cardiology and is a highly known researcher.
