Dr. Cem Yorgancioglu is the Head of the Cardiovascular Surgery Department at the Memorial Health Group's Ankara Hospital in Ankara, Turkey. He has more than 30 years of experience in Cardiovascular Surgeries and specializes in Carotid Stenosis, Mitral Valve Diseases, Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm, Aortic Valve Disease, Coronary Artery Disease and Peripheral Vascular Disease. The medical procedures that Dr Cem Yorgancioglu is famous for are Open Heart Surgery, Aortic and Mitral Valve Repair and Replacement, Bypass Surgery, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft, Evar, Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery, and Vascular Surgery. Dr. Cem Yorgancioglu completed his Medical Doctor Training from Hacettepe University in 1984. He began his Cardiovascular Surgery Specialty Training in 1986 and completed it in 1991 from Hacettepe University. Later on, he got a chance for a Fellowship at Zurich University, Switzerland, for a year in 1990. Dr. Cem Yorgancıoğlu joined the Bayindir Ankara Hospital as a Cardiovascular Surgery Specialist in 1992 and continued in that position till 2001. In 2001, he was promoted to the designation of Clinical Director of Cardiovascular Surgery. During this time, Dr Cem taught as a professor for less than a year at the Bayindir Ankara Hospital in 2002. Dr. Cem left the Bayindir Ankara Hospital and joined Hacettepe University as a Faculty member in the Cardiovascular Surgery Department in 2003 and left in 2008. He worked from 2008 to 2014 at the Medicana Ankara Hastanesi as the Head of Cardiovascular Surgery Department and then joined the Memorial Ankara Hospital for the same position.
