Dr. Chao-Long Chen is the best professor in transplantology, who works and shares his professional skills with other young specialists. Thanks to his high professionalism, excellent knowledge, and hard work he became a well-known expert in liver transplantation in Taiwan as well as in Asia. Dr. Chao-Long is known to be highly qualified and gained a degree from reputed educational institutes. He completed a Bachelor of Medicine from Kaohsiung Medical College in 1976, and he obtained Honorary Doctorate from the Asuncion University of Paraguay in 2014 and the San Carlos University, Guatemala in 2016. Besides, he has been successfully handling complex surgery operations for the last 30 years. He is the best of the best that has set some liver transplant records in Taiwan as well as in Asia. It should be mentioned that he also maintained one of the world's highest survival rates in living donor liver transplantation. Currently, he works as the president-elect of the International Living Donor Liver Transplantation Association. Dr. Chao-Long Chen also actively assists with medical centers in the home country and abroad in the development of high-end medical care for liver transplantation. Throughout his career, he obtained many awards in internal and international such as the Executive Yuan's Outstanding Science and Technology Honor Award, National Biotechnology and Medical Quality Gold Award, the Medal of Contribution to the Friends of Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Medal of Health Contribution to Guatemala and Paraguay Order of the Commander of the Central American Parliament Francisco Morazan, and more.
