About
Dr. Chul Won Ha is a professor of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery, Samsung Medical Center. He was appointed as the chief of Knee Service there (Arthroplasty, Arthroscopy, and Sports medicine). Moreover, he serves as the director of the Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine Institute of Samsung Medical Center, Seoul, Korea. In 1989, Dr. Chul Won Ha did his MD at the Seoul National University and received a specialization degree in orthopedics in 1994. In 1999, he successfully achieved his Ph.D. degree. GREAT WORKING EXPERIENCE OF DR. CHUL WON HA • Dr. Chul Won Ha started his internship at Seoul National University Hospital in 1989-1990. • He did his residency from 1990-1994 in the department of Orthopedic Surgery. • From 1997-1998, Dr. Chul Won Ha was a research fellow in the Biomechanics Lab at Seoul National University Hospital. • He joined the Department of Orthopedic Surgery & Sports Medicine as a clinical fellow at Samsung Medical Center, in 1999. • In 2001, he was awarded an exchange traveling fellowship. • He was an international research fellow at Harvard medical school in 2003 for total knee arthroplasty. CURRENT PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES OF DR. CHUL WON HA Dr. Chul Won Ha works as the executive vice president of the Korean Society for Sports Medicine and as an Executive Board Member of the Korean Orthopedic Research Society. He is currently working as the chairman of the Korean Society of Stem Cell & Regenerative Medicine for Locomotor Systems and the Korean Society for Stem Cell Research. Dr. Chul Won Ha is also on the Editorial Board of Knee surgery & related research journals, Journal of Arthroscopy and Orthopedic Sports Medicine, and the Journal of Korean Orthopedic Association.
