Dr. Emel Ozturk is a Nuclear Medicine Specialist at the Memorial Health Group's Ankara Hospital in Ankara, Turkey. She specializes in stomach ulcer – breath urea test, kidney diseases, coronary artery disease, osteoporosis, primary and metastatic cancers, and pulmonary embolism. She has more than 35 years of experience overall but has been in Nuclear Medicine since 1990. Dr. Emel Ozturk is famous for her medical procedures like pain treatment in painful bone metastases, intra-joint radionuclide treatment in joint diseases, radionuclide treatment of thyroid cancer and liver tumours, diagnosis of pulmonary embolism diagnosis, and radioisotope treatment in hyperthyroidism. She has received several professional awards and attended a few vocational pieces of training as well. Dr. Emel Ozturk completed her Medical Doctor Training from Ankara University in 1984. And then, in 1987, she began her Specialty Training at Ankara University, which she completed by 1990. She has several scientific publications in both national and international journals. Dr. Emel Ozturk is also a member of: • The Turkish Nuclear Medicine Association • The European Association of Nuclear Medicine • The Ankara Medical Chamber Dr. Emel Ozturk began her career as a General Practitioner at the Meb Health Education Center in Nevsehir, Turkey, in 1984. She left the job when she started her Specialty Training, and once completed; she joined the Gulhane Military as a Nuclear Medicine Specialist in 1990. In 2006, Dr. Emel Ozturk switched to the Ufuk University as a Nuclear Medicine Specialist and the President of the United SD. After serving a few years at the Ufuk University, she joined the Memorial Ankara Hospital as a Nuclear Medicine Specialist in 2014 and has been there ever since.
