A Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Cardiological Society of India, Dr. Koshy, Georgey Kunnumpuram heads the Cardiac Sciences Speciality at Burjeel Medical City. After gaining his basic and advanced qualifications in Medicine, Dr. Koshy focussed on specialising in full spectrum general adult cardiology, interventional cardiology and hospital administration to create the competitive advantage to his career. Whilst working for one of the industry’s most reputed hospitals in Bengaluru, India, he introduced breakthrough standards in cardiac related procedures and surgeries. In the second phase of his career, Dr. Koshy moved to Qatar and joined a leading multi-speciality, tertiary hospital where he led the team to establish the first Cardiac Catheterization Lab in the private sector and assisted in setting up a unique speciality cardiac surgical program. He also initiated from start a similar interventional cardiology and cardiac surgical programme in Abu Dhabi making it the second one in his career. Under Dr. Koshy’s watch, BMC has brought-in several innovations and features in the comprehensive procedural management and critical cardiac care facilities involving new generation digital technology and applications, for world-standard efficiency and patient care.
