Dr. Gul Sagin Saylam is a Pediatric Cardiologist at the Dr. Sinasi Can (Kadikoy) Hospital’s Etiler Outpatient Clinic which falls under the Acibadem Healthcare Group. Dr. Gul has many years of experience and specializes in treating congenital heart diseases, adolescent and adult congenital heart diseases, rheumatic heart diseases, diagnostic and imaging modalities in pediatric, cardiology, and interventional practices in pediatric cardiology. Dr. Gul Sagin Saylam has three editorships of special issues and has numerous publications in both national and international journals. She is a significant contributor to the cardiology field as she is not only publishing many articles in journals but is also a professional member of the Association of Thoracic Cardiovascular Surgery, Ted Ankara College Alumni Association, Turkish Association of Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery, National Pediatric Association, Turkish Medical Association, Asia Pacific Adult Congenital Heart Diseases Association, European Society of Pediatric Cardiology, and Turkish Society of Cardiology. Dr. Gul Sagin Saylam graduated from the Ted Ankara College in 1975, then, later on, joined the Hacettepe University's Faculty of Medicine and stayed there till 1981. In 1981, she began her Medical Specialty Training at the Hacettepe University Medical School’s Department of Pediatrics and completed it in 1986. Right after that, she joined the Kutahya-Simav State Hospital for a two-year Obligatory Service. Then she joined the Istanbul University Cardiology Institute, Division of Pediatric Cardiology, for her Sub-specialty Training in Pediatric Cardiology in 1988 and fully completed it in 1996. She has worked at Royal Brampton National Heart and Lung Hospital in Londra, Dokuz Eylul University's Department of Pediatric Cardiology, the Pediatric Cardiology Department of Istanbul University Institute of Cardiology, and joined the Acibadem Healthcare Group in 2011.
