    Dr. Gulcin Senyuva was born in 1982 in Golcuk, Turkey. She completed her high-school education from Haydarpasa Anatolian High School in 2000, after which she went on to complete her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Istanbul University in 2004. Dr. Gulcin Senyuva has ample volunteering experience as she was an active participant in the “psychosocial support to schizophrenic families " project of the Bakirkoy Hospital for Mental and Nervous Diseases. She is a well-known clinical psychologist in the country. Her doctorate study focused on post-traumatic stress disorder in people who have experienced physical violence. Dr. Gulcin Senyuva has also worked on mental health projects supported by the EU, such as “deal with menopause and androposis. She has also served as an educator and psychologist at the Prisons and Detention Houses of the Ministry of Justice. Dr. Gulcin Senyuva has over 450 hours of cognitive-behavioral therapy training sessions in conjunction with the European Association for Cognitive Behavioral Therapies (EABCT). Her capabilities and experience have also led her to take the position of the Board Member of the Cognitive Behavioral Therapies Association in the country. She is also associated with the Turkish Psychological Association of Trauma Commission that works for relief in a crisis. Dr. Gulcin Senyuva is also an active member of the International Association for Cognitive Psychotherapy (IACP). Dr. Gulcin Senyuva mainly deals with the following psychological issues: a. Depression b. Anxiety disorders c. Sexual dysfunctions d. Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) She has also presented her papers at various local and international mental health congresses. Moreover, she has several published articles under her name.
