Dr. Ismail Tamer is a renowned general surgeon working at Acibadem Kayseri Hospital. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Ataturk University in 1984. After graduation, Dr. Ismail Tamer decided to pursue his area of interest and joined the Faculty of General Surgery to gain formal training from Ataturk University. He finished his residency in 1990 and became a specialized General Surgeon. He worked at various hospitals as a General Surgeon before joining Acibadem Kayseri Hospital in 2019. Dr. Ismail Tamer is a senior General Surgeon with more than 20 years of experience in a broad range of surgical procedures. He has expertise in performing both complex and straightforward surgical procedures. He has experience performing anything from excising small skin lesions and cysts to complicated cases like removing some or all of the colon, complex hernia repairs and gallbladder removal. In addition to this, Dr. Ismail Tamer has a particular clinical interest in abdominal surgeries. He has a specific interest in Biliary Tract Cancer, also known as bile duct cancer or cholangiocarcinoma. Dr. Ismail Tamer is a member of the Turkish Surgical Society. He actively takes part in continuing medical association conferences and seminars. He also attends workshops to enhance his skills and stay up to date with new changes made in general surgery. Moreover, Dr. Ismail Tamer is an avid reader and reads recent publications and researches made in his field. He has also published articles and medical papers in both local and international journals.
