Dr. Ivo Petrov is a cardiologist who performs integral diagnosis and treatment of all cardiovascular diseases. He received his medical degree from Sofia Medical University in 1992, specialized in Internal Medicine in 1999, and became board certified in Cardiology in 2003. Prof. Ivo Petrov is a Sofia University graduate with a degree in Healthcare Management. He completed a post-graduate medical course in Echo Stress Testing in Wiesbaden, Germany. He was awarded a fellowship by the Favaloro Foundation in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1999-2000 to specialize in Invasive Cardiology and Radiology at The Institute of Cardiology and Cardio-Vascular Surgery. Dr. Ivo Petrov is one of the chief specialists in the endovascular treatment of complex aortic pathology. He worked at Saint Ekaterina University Hospital from 1992 to 2006, where he was appointed as an assistant professor of cardiology. He was named the head of the Cardiology Department at Acibadem City Clinic Tokuda Hospital in November 2006 and has been the Chief of Cardiology and Angiology Department at Acibadem City Clinic Cardiovascular Center since November 2012. As a senior cardiologist and professor, Dr. Ivo Petrov associated with the International Society of Endovascular Specialists (ISES), American College of Cardiology, the Bulgarian Society of Cardiology, the Spanish Association of Cardiology, and the Latin American Association of Cardiology Interventional Cardiologists, and many more as a committee member.
