About
Dr. Ji Young Yun is a neurologist at Ewha Womans University Mokdong Hospital and the Deputy Director of the International Healthcare Center. Dr. Ji Young Yun graduated from Ewha Womans University College of Medicine. After getting her medical degree, she finished her residency and acquired her M.D. and Ph.D. from the same university. Since then, she has worked at Ewha Womans University Mokdong Hospital and also conducts a botulinum toxin clinic for movement disorders and headaches. Dr. Ji Young Yun has a special clinical interest in movement and gait disorders. In particular, she is interested in Parkinson's disease, a progressive nervous system disorder affecting the movement of the patient. She also treats patients with ataxia which is a disorder of coordination, speech, and balance. Other clinical interests include tremors, dystonia, hemifacial spasm, blepharospasm, degenerative disorders, dizziness, syncope, and headache. Dr. Ji Young Yun has conducted various researches and studies in her area of interest. She has written research papers on different topics, including Parkinson's disease, her primary area of interest. Five latest papers were published in 2018 related to Parkinson's disease in different medical journals. In addition, Dr. Ji Young Yun regularly participates in continuing medical education seminars and conferences both locally and internationally. She is also a member of different medical associations representing neurologists and has spoken at various medical events related to Parkison's disease.
