Prof. MUDr. Jiri Maly, Ph.D. is a highly accomplished cardiac surgeon and pedagogue. He graduated from the 1st Medical School of Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic in 1997. Following his graduation, he pursued further specialization in vascular and cardiovascular surgery at the Institute for Clinical and Experimental Medicine in Prague, completing his residency in 2006. In 2009, Prof. Maly successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis in Biomedicine, with a focus on Human Physiology and Pathophysiology. Since then, he has been serving as the Surgical Director of Operating Theaters in the Department of Cardiovascular and Transplant Surgery at Prague. In recognition of his expertise and contributions to the field, he was appointed as a Professor of Cardiac Surgery at the 2nd Medical School in Prague in 2021.
