Dr. Jonghee Chang’s skill set and knowledge make him one of Severance Hospital’s finest Neurosurgeons. He has gained a wealth of knowledge in his 17 years of experience and began his medical journey at Yonsei University College of Medicine in 1985. Here he received his Doctorate of Medicine (MD) degree. Then Dr. Jonghee Chang excelled by completing a Ph.D. at Graduate School, Yonsei University College of Medicine in 2004. He became a Clinical fellow at Severance Hospital during 2001-2003. He moved to the USA, where he joined the Epilepsy Centre at Washington University as Research Associate and Clinical Fellow. He then joined Cleveland Clinic Foundation as a Visiting Clinician in their Epilepsy Centre. In 2003, Dr. Jonghee Chang returned to Yonsei University as Assistant Professor. With hard work and dedication, he was promoted to a professor in 2012. He also joined The Arthur and Sonia Labatt Brain Tumour Research Centre in Canada as Research Associate. Dr. Jonghee Chang worked as a visiting clinician in Gui de Chauliac Hospital in France. All these experiences made him well equipped with the latest techniques. He became Director of Severance Hospital’s Brain Tumor Center. Dr. Jonghee Chang specializes in Gamma Knife Radiosurgery and Ventriculoperitoneal Shunts. He is an expert in treating Glioblastoma and Gliomas. Moreover, he skillfully performs awake and image-guided brain surgeries. He has conducted many kinds of research in different aspects of Neurosurgery. Translational glioma genes, experimental therapeutics, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy are his research interests.
