About

Dr. Juan Casanova Ramon-Borja is a consultant urologist who specializes in urological cancers and prostate diseases. His areas of expertise also include advanced techniques for the diagnosis and management of prostate cancer. Dr. Juan Casanova Ramon-Borja is currently serving as the Coordinator of the Unit of Early Diagnosis of Prostate Cancer, Coordinator of the Focal Therapy, and member of the Laparoscopic Surgery Unit and the Urology Service of the Valencia Institute of Oncology Foundation. He is also performing duties as a Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the Catholic University of Valencia San Vicente Martir and Professor of the Master of the Urological Surgery for Cooperators of the Catholic University of Valencia San Vicente Martir. He is also a Professor of Medicine at the University of Ceu Cardenal Herrera. Dr. Juan Casanova Ramon-Borja graduated with an MBBS degree from the University of Valencia in 1986. He also holds a Diploma in Emergency Surgery from the same institution. He completed his training at the Valencian Institute of Oncology Foundation and became a specialist in Urology in 2001. Dr. Juan Casanova Ramon-Borja received his Doctorate from the Department of Surgery of the University of Valencia. He has been Assistant Physician of the Urology Service of the Valencian Institute of Oncology Foundation. He has also served as the Facultative Specialist in Urology at the Valencian Health Service. Furthermore, Dr. Juan Casanova Ramon-Borja has co-authored and published many national and international publications on important topics like diagnosis and different treatment modalities for carcinoma in the urogenital organs such as the prostate and penis. He received the E.Perez Castro Award for the article “Biological Behaviour of the Untreated Bladder Carcinoma In Situ” in December 1991 and for the article “Locoregional Treatment of the Penile Carcinoma” in December 1992.
