About
The heart is an essential organ of the human body. It carries out the important function of delivering oxygen and nutrient-rich blood to the rest of the body. It acts as a pump to transport life-sustaining blood via a 97,000-kilometre-long network of vessels. The rate at which a heart beats or contracts is an important indicator of one's health. The irregular or aberrant beating of the heart is called arrhythmia, which is usually harmless, but in few cases, it can be serious or even deadly. Too fast, too slow, and irregular heartbeat can halt blood supply affecting various body functions. There may be different underlying causes of arrhythmia, which a Cardiologist should assess. Dr. Jun Beom Park is a well-known Cardiologist of South Korea and is considered an expert in treating Arrhythmia, Atrial Fibrillation (paroxysmal), Supraventricular Tachycardia, Pacemaker, ICT, CRT, and other cardiological disorders. He is currently associated with Ewha Womans University Mokdong Hospital and serves as the Director of Arrhythmia Center. He is a highly skilled Cardiologist and holds a Ph.D. degree alongside his Bachelors and Masters of Medicine degrees from Yonsei University Graduate School of Medicine, South Korea. Besides having years of clinical expertise in treating complex heart diseases, Dr. Jun Beom Park has presented a large number of research articles related to Arrhythmia and Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy (CRT).
