Dr. Levent Kaptanoglu is a General Surgeon at VM Medical Park Pendik Hospital. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Istanbul University and then completed his residency training in General Surgery from Cerrahpasa School of Medicine at Istanbul University from 1992 to 1997. He later went to Northwestern University, Transplantation Center in the United States of America and worked there from 1998 to 2002. In 2003, Dr. Levent Kaptanoglu joined Dr. Lütfi Kırdar Kartal Teaching and Research Hospital as a chief resident. In 2008, he got promoted to Associate Professor. In 2011 he joined the Department of General Surgery, School of Medicine, Bezmialem University as an Associate professor and later moved back to Kartal Teaching and Research Hospital. Dr. Levent Kaptanoglu is a general surgeon with a particular clinical interest in Laparoscopic Surgery. He specializes in performing different Laparoscopic procedures, including Gallbladder Removal, Hernia, Stomach, Colon and Anti-reflux Surgery. His other areas of interest include open surgeries of the liver, biliary tract and pancreas. He is also specialized and well-versed in performing oncological surgeries, breast surgeries, endocrine surgeries and removal of soft tissue tumors. Dr. Levent Kaptanoglu is an active member of Turkey's General Surgeon's Community. He has Professional Memberships with various medical and surgical bodies, including Deutsche Gesellschaft Für Chirurgie, American Society for Transplantation, Association of Breast Surgery, Association of Trauma, Association of Hepatobiliary Surgery and Association of Colorectal Surgery.
