QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL CLINICAL TRAINING OF DR. MICHAEL FRIEDRICH Dr. Michael Friedrich is a senior doctor at Helios Hospital Krefeld. After studying Human Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of the Albert-Ludwigs-University Freiburg/Breisgau, he graduated in 1991. He got his license to practice medicine as a doctor in 1993, after which he finished his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Over the years, Dr. Michael Friedrich has acted as a lecturer, head consultant, and department head at different university hospitals. In 2001 he participated in the organization and setting up of the Breast Centre in Homburg/Saar. Since March 2003, he has also been an active member of the Drug Commission and DRG-Delegate at the Department of OB/Gyn of the University Clinic Lübeck. SPECIAL CLINICAL INTEREST OF DR. MICHAEL FRIEDRICH Dr. Michael Friedrich has a special clinical interest in gynecological issues, especially the diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis. He also specializes in gynecological surgeries and is interested in the operative treatment of breast cancer conditions, minimally invasive surgeries, ultra-radical carcinoma surgery, organ-sparing surgery techniques and reconstruction of the pelvic floor. Moreover, he proficiently deals with premature delivery and risk group obstetrics, reproduction medicine and interdisciplinary diagnostics and therapy for inborn malformations such as gastroschisis. Dr. Michael Friedrich also has a membership of the Section of Gynecologic Oncology (AGO), European Society of Gynecologic Oncology (ESGO), International Academy of Cytology (MIAC), European Society of Gynecological Endoscopy (ESGE), International Society of Gynecological Endoscopy (ISGE), International Gynecologic Cancer Society (IGCS), American Society of Oncology (ASCO) and Society of Reconstructive Surgery in Gynecology (AWO-Gyn).
