Dr. Nahid Yacoubi is a nuclear medicine doctor who specializes in testing and treating patients with radioactive materials. She can use this technology to examine muscle tissue, organs, and blood, as well as treat problems in those areas. Radiopharmaceuticals are substances used in nuclear radiology. They contain radiation that can be used to treat certain illnesses or to illuminate a part of the body during a scan with a special camera. Dr. Yacoubi uses the resulting images to diagnose a medical condition by determining where and how the substances were absorbed in the body. She completes her doctorate in general medicine.
