He also earned a Diploma from the Thai Board of Surgery in 2004. He did a research fellowship at the European Institute of Oncology, Milan, Italy, in 2012 and Surgical Oncology, Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, 2006-2008. Dr. Prakasit Chirappapha has done specialization in treating cancer. He treats cancer in three stages. First, he diagnoses the type of cancer, and then he determines the stage of it or how far cancer has reached, and lastly, he removes its growth. He uses surgery to remove tissues and tumors that contain cancer cells. In some cases, he uses only surgery to treat cancer, and in others, he performs both surgery and chemotherapy if needed.
