Dr. Qasim attained his Fellowship from the prestigious Royal College of Ophthalmologists, Glasgow, UK and Royal College of Surgeons, Dublin, Ireland. He is a certified specialist in Laser and Refractive Surgery from Royal College of Ophthalmologist, London UK and Certified by the European Board of Ophthalmology. He is also a certified eye specialist for aviation and pilots. Dr. Qasim is practicing as Consultant Ophthalmologist in the UAE since 2012 and has served at several prestigious hospitals in United Kingdom and Ireland for more than 12 years. He is of the very few Consultant Specialist’s in Vitreoretinal eye surgery and is highly skilled at performing combined suture less Phaco Vitrectomy procedures specially for Diabetic patients. He specializes in Pediatric Ophthalmology, including cataract surgery, childhood ocular motility, squint surgery and vision screening of premature babies. Dr. Qasim has Published over 25 articles in leading international peer-reviewed journals. He was the speaker at the Congress of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery at numerous occasions. Dr. Qasim can communicate with his patient in Arabic and English.
