Dr. Ran Kornowski is a leading interventional cardiologist at Herzliya Medical Center. He graduated from the Medical Faculty of the Hebrew University, Jerusalem. He then completed his Residency in Cardiology from Ichilov Hospital, Tel-Aviv, in 1986. He later went for his Fellowship from 1996 60 1998 in invasive cardiology and catheterization from Washington DC Heart Center, USA. From 2000 to 2013, Dr. Ran Kornowski was the Director of the Interventional Cardiology Center at Rabin Medical Center. He has also acted as the President of the Israel Heart Society from 2017 to 2019. Furthermore, he was the Full Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine, The "Sackler" Faculty of Medicine at Tel-Aviv University. He was also the Chairman of the "Rene Favoloro Cathedra” for cardiac surgical and catheter-based interventions at Tel-Aviv University. Dr. Ran Kornowski has a particular clinical interest in Cardiac rhythm disorders and Valvular Heart Disease. His other areas of expertise include Interventional Cardiology and Diagnostic Cardiac Catheterization. He also performs various other procedures, including transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI). In addition to being a remarkable clinician and surgeon, Dr. Ran Kornowski also has immense research interest and has published over 450 articles on Cardiology topics. He has also contributed to chapters in well-known Medicine and Cardiology books. Dr. Ran Kornowski has Medical Union Memberships with many National and International associations. He has memberships of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), American College of Cardiology (ACC), Israeli Society of Cardiology (HIS), European Association of Percutaneous Cardiac Interventions (EAPCI) and American Cardiovascular Association of Cardiac Interventions (SCAI).
