Dr. Ravi Nayak is a Fellowship trained Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in Knee, Shoulder and Hip surgery, including joint replacement and arthroscopy (keyhole surgery). He has completed MBBS from Topiwala National Medical College, Mumbai and M.S. in Orthopedics from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences. Later, he received advanced training in joint replacement and arthroscopy/sports medicine from Centers of Excellence in India and the USA: • Breach Candy Hospital, Mumbai • Lilavati Hospital & Research Centre, Mumbai • New York University Hospital for Joint Diseases, New York City • Advanced Orthopedic Associates, USA He has been a recipient of the prestigious International Surgical Skills Scholar Award from the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, USA. He has also been conferred the acclaimed AO Fellowship in Germany. He has authored numerous techniques in knee surgery published in international journals, and has presented many papers at National and International Conferences. He is a member of various professional associations, such as: • American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, USA • AO International, Germany • Indian Society of Hip and Knee Surgeons • Indian Arthroscopy Society • Shoulder & Elbow Society of India Prior to NMC Specialty Hospital, he was practicing as a Consultant Knee & Shoulder Surgeon in Mumbai at Apollo Spectra and Aditi Hospitals, and was a Faculty in Orthopedic Surgery at Rajawadi General Hospital. He has also been a Faculty at various Orthopedic Conferences. He speaks English, Hindi, Marathi, Konkani, Gujarati and Kannada.
