Dr. Rishikesh has a Fellowship in Uro-Oncology from the University of Toronto, Canada where he worked for 4 years gaining clinical and surgical expertise in the field of Uro-Oncology. He worked at the Elisabethinen Hospital in Linz, Austria where he did his Fellowship in Laparoscopic Urology thus developing expert surgical skills in laparoscopic technique for urological diseases including cancers of the urinary system like the prostate, kidney, bladder, etc. Dr. Pandya got certified as Robotic Urological Surgeon in 2013 at the Rosewell Park Cancer Centre, Buffalo, USA. He has the credit of initiating the laparoscopic program and doing the first laparoscopic radical prostatectomy for prostate cancer in the capital city of Accra, Ghana (West Africa) in early 2012. In the interim years while travelling he developed an extensive multi-centric, multi-hospital group based urological practice based in Mumbai India with his focus being more towards Uro-Oncology along with urinary stone work and other aspects of urology. As Uro-Oncologist he promotes and practices early detection and management of cancers of the urinary system (kidney, bladder) and reproductive system for the males (prostate gland, testes, etc.). Performs surgeries including laparoscopic or robotic assisted laparoscopic and conventional open surgeries. As an Endourologist Dr. Pandya specializes in treatment of urinary stones by performing various minimally invasive surgical procedures like Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (PCNL) Ureteroscopy (Flexible and Rigid) and also use of lasers in different situations. Some highly specialized advanced surgeries that he performs are Laparoscopic Radical Prostatectomy, Laparoscopic Partial / Radical Nephrectomy, Laparoscopic Cystectomies with Neobladder reconstruction. He has presented at multiple conferences and remains involved in chapters and multiple articles and continues to contribute passionately towards conducting awareness program for removing the fear of cancer and managing one’s own health. Dr. Pandya speaks English, Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, Punjabi and Urdu.
