In the span of 4 years, from 2006 till 2010, he was a Chief Physician in the Department of General, Visceral and Trauma Surgery/Abdominal Center and a Senior Physician in the Emergency Department at Evangelical Hospital Luckau. As a temporary, in 2008, he was the Head of the Visceral Surgery Department at the Thiem Clinic in Cottbus.
