She was admitted as a Fellow of both the Academy of Medicine Singapore and the College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Singapore, solidifying her standing as a distinguished professional. Prior to joining Raffles Hospital, Dr. Shamini made impactful contributions as a Consultant in the Department of General Obstetrics and Gynaecology at KK Hospital. Her dedication and service were recognized with a prestigious 10 Years’ Long Service Award to KK Women’s & Children’s Hospital in 2005. Beyond her clinical accomplishments, Dr. Shamini has actively shaped the landscape of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Her leadership was evident as she served as an Executive Council Member in the Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society of Singapore (OGSS) from 2004 to 2008, contributing to the growth and advancement of the field. Dr. Shamini's commitment to education shines through her role as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Duke – NUS School of Medicine and a Clinical Lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore.
