Dr. Sung Sil Choi is a highly trained Cardiovascular Surgeon of South Korea with a particular clinical interest in Heart and Vascular Surgery, Lung and Esophageal Cancer, Thoracoscopic Surgery (general lung diseases), and Varicose Veins. He currently practices at Bundang Jesaeng Hospital. Dr. Sung Sil Choi obtained his education from the prestigious institutes of the country. He completed his MD (Doctor of Medicine) degree from Yonsei University, Wonju. After graduation, he did his specialization from the Thoracic Surgery Department, Shinchon Severance Hospital, Yonsei University. He treats complex cases of heart and vascular diseases and is considered an expert on various lung disorders. Besides his clinical practice, he has worked as a Research Lecturer at Yonsei University. Dr. Sung Sil Choi has also served as a Director of the International Clinic and QI Director of Jesaeng Hospital, Bundang. Currently, he is an integral part of the Department of Thoracic Surgery, Bundang Jesaeng Hospital. He is a regular member of the Korean Society of Thoracic Surgery as well. Dr. Sung Sil Choi is also considered an expert in treating various complex heart conditions. He has performed surgeries to treat coronary artery disease or blocked heart arteries and valves. His experience in performing video-assisted thoracic surgery (VATS) is exemplary. VATS is a special type of surgery used to diagnose and cure various thorax (or chest) conditions using a thoracoscope.
