Dr. Unal Sabanci is a highly skilled General Surgeon of Medicana Kadikoy Hospital, Istanbul, Turkey. He has over 25 years of immense clinical experience. His areas of interest are Endocrine (Thyroid, Parathyroid, Adrenal Gland) Surgery, Diseases of Large Intestine, Rectum, and Anal Region (Hemorrhoids, Fissures, Fistula), Hernia Surgery, Breast Surgery, Gastric Bypass (Weight-loss surgery), and Laparoscopic Surgery of Intra-Abdominal Organs. He acquired his MD (Doctor of Medicine) degree from Gulhane Military Medical Faculty in 1985. He completed his specialization training in General Surgery from the same institute in 1992 and obtained Endocrine Surgery Training from UCSF. After his post-graduation, he joined Corlu Military Hospital as a General Surgery Specialist. He also practiced as a General Surgery Specialist at Ankara Mevki Military Hospital and Chief Medical Officer at Tatvan Military Hospital. Dr. Unal Sabanci acquired the title of Associate Professor of General Surgery from Yuzuncu Yil University in 2008. He also held the spot of President of the General Surgery Department at Namik Kemal University, Faculty of Medicine, from 2009 – 2011. Before his association with Medicana Kadikoy Hospital, he also served at Tekirdag Private Life Hospital, Göztepe Medical Park Hospital, and Bahçeşehir University, Faculty of Medicine.
