Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), also known as Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI), is a minimally invasive surgical procedure used to replace a diseased or malfunctioning aortic valve with a prosthetic (artificial) valve. The aortic valve is situated between the left ventricle (the heart's main pumping chamber) and the aorta (the large artery that carries oxygenated blood from the heart to the rest of the body).

Heart valve repair or replacement surgery is used to fix damaged or diseased heart valves so as to restore heart function. There are 4 valves in your heart that act like doors to control the blood flow between the different parts of the heart.

Normally, these valves open to let blood flow through or out of your heart in one direction. The valves also shut to keep blood from flowing backwards. But sometimes they do not work properly.

Colposcopy is a medical procedure used to closely examine the cervix, vagina, and vulva (the external genitalia) in order to diagnose and evaluate various conditions, especially those related to the cervix. It is often performed when cervical abnormalities are detected during routine cervical cancer screening, such as a Pap smear.

A Pap smear involves taking cells at the neck of the womb, located at the end of the vagina. These cells can be abnormal without symptoms in patients having precancer of the cervix, and this method allows prevention of cervical cancer by detecting precancerous changes.

The Pap smear is usually done in conjunction with a pelvic exam.

A Pap smear test is recommended once every 3 years for women above the age of 25 – 29.

For women over the age of 30, a HPV test is also recommended once every 5 years. Together, these test help in the early detection of cervical cancer.
