    About

The Plastic Surgery Clinic of Dr. Yavuz Ozsular started operating in January 2022, headed by Dr. Yavuz Ozsular himself, who specializes in Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery. The clinic offers both surgical and non-surgical aesthetics services. We are in apartment number 10, next to Nisantasi Beymen, on the street that leads from Tesvikiye to Abdi Ipekci Street. On the ground floor, there is a CookShop. APPOINTMENT WITH THE DR. YAVUZ OZSULAR We examine all of our patients on the specified date and time. We consider the following criteria for your surgery plan during the examination: your expectations and complaints (if any), your history of previous surgery, your comorbidities, what drugs/medications you use on a regular basis, your age, the condition of your overall health, and your physical qualities. Your photographs will be taken for medical records and planning. You will be shown photos and simulations of how you will look after surgery (photoshop). We will inform you of treatment costs following your examination. We will book where and when your surgery will take place once the details of your surgery have been finalized. Prior to the surgery, Dr. Ozsular will request a series of routine examinations and analyses. If the results are deemed satisfactory, the date of the surgery will be set. We communicate with all of our patients who live outside of Istanbul or outside of Turkey via video call (interpreters are provided for our international patients) or photo and video at a time that is convenient for both parties. As a result, while they are still in their home country, we explain any expectations or concerns they may have about the surgery. They also learn about the treatment process ahead of time, including how much it will cost. Patients who decide to have surgery must contact us again so that the date of surgery and the operation process can be planned. After deciding on a surgery date, the patient must pay a portion of the fee in advance for preparation and hospital reservation. TRANSFER FOR INTERNATIONAL PATIENTS You must provide us with your hotel and flight information. When your plane arrives, one of the greeters (who also speaks your language) will be waiting for you at the airport, holding a name panel. You will be transferred by a reputable/safe shuttle company (certified and authorized by the Turkish Ministry of Health). You will be driven directly from the airport to your hotel or hospital. Your airport transfer will be provided at the conclusion of all treatment processes. OPERATION PROCESS For patients traveling from outside Istanbul or Turkey, as well as those who already live in Istanbul, you must arrive at the hospital at the time specified by your doctor based on your operation and the type of anesthesia you will receive prior to the operation. (If you are coming from outside of Istanbul or Turkey, you can request a transfer to the hospital.) Anesthesia examinations are also performed prior to the operation. You will be taken to a pre-booked room so that you can rest. There, nurses will conduct a series of final checks on you as you rest Before surgery, Dr. Ozsular and his assistant (in the company of an interpreter for international patients) will visit you. You will be taken to the operating room when it is time for surgery and put under planned anesthesia before the procedure starts. After your operation is successfully completed, your wounds will be dressed and you will be fitted with a corset. We will then leave you to slowly come to terms. During your first hours after surgery, we want you to wake up in comfort and in as little pain as possible. Thus, we will do local anesthesia on the part of your body where you had surgery without waking you, so that when you do wake up, you won’t be in any pain. When you have been transferred to your room, you will spend those initial hours recovering from the feeling of dizziness caused by anesthesia. Afterwards, you will be given a bowl of soup to eat. Dr. Ozsular and his assistant (along with an interpreter) will visit international patients in their rooms following surgery. They will inform you of the outcome of the surgery. Your length of hospitalization, things to consider, and the next dressing day will be explained to you both in writing (in the patient's mother tongue) and verbally. Throughout the process, if you have any questions or are faced with a problem, you can take Dr. Ozsular's advice seriously and begin taking your prescribed medications. The dressing and the first day of control differ depending on the surgery. You notice changes in yourself from the first day. Your dressings will be changed out for new ones. After their first check-up, the majority of our patients are able to return to work and even leave the city or country (this, of course, can vary from procedure to procedure). Our international patients can return home as soon as they receive a clean bill of health. They can also contact Dr. Ozsular's assistant if they have any questions. Their check-ups will take place on the specified dates, either online or via photos/video. They can even plan a mini-vacation under the pretense of control. Some of our international patients can't get enough of Istanbul and will stay until their second control. Patients who live in Istanbul can come to our clinic for their controls by scheduling an appointment in advance. THE HOSPITAL WHERE YOUR SURGERY WILL TAKE PLACE In terms of both standards and equipment, Turkish hospitals are among the best in the world. Your surgeries will be performed in well-equipped private hospitals that are authorized and audited on a regular basis by the Turkish Ministry of Health Tourism. Every day, hundreds of people from all over the world travel to Istanbul/Turkey to have their surgeries performed successfully at our fully-equipped hospitals. They also turn their downtime into mini-vacations and return home as content as clams! The private hospitals in question are subject to the most stringent audits and rules, including but not limited to the following: - Environment must include green spaces, parking lots, and public transportation; no exposure to noise, air, or water pollution. - Patient rooms must be designed for your health, hygiene, comfort, and privacy; they must be accessible to disabled patients and have appropriate bathrooms/washbasins. - Intensive Care must be equipped to closely monitor you and provide additional care in the event of an emergency. - Nurse stations must be equipped to provide exceptional and immediate care; must have a paging system for patient contact (installed in both the patient's room and the station). - Operating rooms/theaters: Each room must have an operation bed ready for surgery and at least one patient must be operated on. Operating rooms must meet European standards for corridor and room widths, fully sterile indoors, cutting-edge technology, sufficient auxiliary staff and nurses, hepa-filtered air conditioning systems, and more. - Emergency response units must be ready to respond to emergencies 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
