The Sana Hospital Templin is a primary care hospital with 96 beds and state-of-the-art medical equipment. Approximately 5,000 inpatients and 6,000 outpatients are cared for every year. The hospital employs 187 full-time staff. As a modern primary care provider in the region, the Sana Hospital Templin ensures optimal health care for the central area of Templin 365 days a year. Around 180 employees work hand in hand in the specialist departments of general surgery, traumatology and orthopaedics, internal medicine, gastroenterology, cardiology, geriatrics, gynaecology, obstetrics, pediatric and adolescent medicine, radiology and physiotherapy. 25 doctors are employed at the Sana Hospital Templin and stand for good medical care. In addition, around 100 employees work in nursing and ensure that patients receive professional, competent, and comprehensive care. Other long-standing partnerships with a laboratory service provider, the food provider, the technicians and the cleaning staff contribute to the fact that more than 25,000 people can be optimally cared for in inpatients. Not to be forgotten here is the good cooperation with the resident doctors, who make an important contribution to healthcare in our region both before the inpatient stay and during aftercare. In addition, Sana attaches great importance to continuous further education and training and relies on Germany-wide networking, regular dialogue and a permanent exchange of experience between the members of the respective medical departments. GENERAL SURGERY, TRAUMATOLOGY AND ORTHOPEDICS More than 1,200 patients can be operated on in modern operating theaters every year. "Operating through the keyhole" is standard within the framework of minimally invasive surgery, is gentler on their patients and is therefore associated with significantly shorter hospital stays. In addition to inpatient treatment, there is always the option of performing outpatient surgeries as indicated. In their outpatient center they offer the indication consultation hour and admission consultation hour. They attach particular importance to cosmetically flawless and optimal wound healing. Therefore, the necessary skin incisions are kept as small as possible. ANESTHESIA, INTENSIVE CARE AND PAIN THERAPY Anesthesia is a branch of anaesthesiology, which includes intensive care medicine, pain therapy and emergency medicine. More than 4,500 anesthetics are performed every year as part of anesthesia. The initiation of pain therapy is already started during the operation. For the necessary care after an operation or seriously ill patients, we have a modern, well-equipped interdisciplinary intensive care unit. Here, patients with diseases from different specialist areas are treated and monitored together with the relevant specialist colleagues. INTERNAL MEDICINE: GERIATRICS The aging society in Germany is a particular challenge for the healthcare system. The steady increase in the proportion of multimorbid geriatric patients cannot be stopped. That is why they offer their patients the newly established Department of Internal Medicine: Geriatrics. Geriatrics in the Sana Hospital Templin works according to a modern, scientifically evaluated concept. The aim of their work is to treat elderly multimorbid and chronically ill patients comprehensively and to enable them to live independently and have a high quality of life. The most important principles of clinical-geriatric work, in addition to the treatment of diseases and the consequences of diseases, are the consistent activation and improvement of the independence of their patients. For this purpose, an individual concept for health management is developed for each patient on the basis of a multidimensional geriatric assessment and a comprehensive analysis of all detailed medical and social problems is prepared. GYNAECOLOGY, OBSTETRICS In gynaecology, in addition to operations on the breast, uterus, ovaries and fallopian tubes and the genital area, they also carry out urogynaecological operations for urinary incontinence. They are specialized in minimally invasive surgical procedures, the so-called keyhole surgery. As far as possible, they also carry out minor surgical procedures on an outpatient basis. Around 120 children are born in the obstetrics department each year. The mothers and newborns are cared for around the clock by a team of doctors, midwives and nursing staff. The focus is on family-oriented obstetrics and personal care. With them, you are in competent hands - they look forward for treating you. INTERNAL MEDICINE Their services include prevention and diagnostics, as well as the conservative and interventional treatment of the internal organs derived from this, such as the lungs, heart, hematopoietic systems, gastrointestinal tract, liver, gallbladder, kidneys, pancreas and metabolic diseases. They treat more than 2,500 patients every year. They also offer outpatient treatment options. The functional department has modern diagnostic equipment that they use to examine the gastrointestinal tract. They carry out interdisciplinary treatments in the intensive care unit. Thanks to close cooperation with the Sana Klinikum Lichtenberg, the Sana Hospital Templin has had additional cardiological expertise since 2012.
