Cosmetic Dentistry

The first milk teeth begin to erupt at 6 months and are completed by 2-2.5 years of age. There are 20 milk teeth, 10 upper and 10 lower.

Our aim begins by informing families as soon as milk teeth begin to erupt, and that cleaning should begin even if there is only one tooth. 

In children between the ages of 2 and 6, the teeth are entirely milk teeth. Since the first permanent teeth appear at the back, around the age of 6, they are usually not noticed. Even if it is noticed, it may be mistaken for a baby tooth. At this age, with a physician's check-up at least once a year, the formation of caries in existing milk teeth can be prevented, caries can be treated before they progress, and oral hygiene can be maintained with special applications.

The mixed dentition period begins at the age of 6, when permanent teeth begin to erupt. During this period, you can get through the mixed tooth period without any problems with the check-ups performed by your doctor at least twice a year.

Pedodontic

If the caries on your teeth are not treated early, the caries progresses deeper. Sometimes it becomes inflamed, sometimes the teeth lose their vitality on their own. Sometimes it causes an abscess large enough to swell your face, and sometimes deep fractures to the nerve may occur due to a fall or hitting something. Root canal treatment is the cleaning of the decay that reaches the nerve of the tooth, the nerve is removed and the canal inside the tooth root is filled.

Endodontic

Dental treatments are performed in this area, using different materials to treat irregularities in teeth and/or jaws, which we apply to our patients of all ages, regardless of age.

Removable appliances, titanium or ceramic brackets, and transparent aligners are the most commonly used materials.

Since orthodontic treatments are not short-term, oral hygiene is of great importance. All treatments are carried out, from minor crowding to all jaw disorders, from jaw stenosis to jaws positioned in the front or back.

Since orthodontic treatments are completely patient-specific, the answers to your questions such as how long does it take, will it be corrected by wearing braces only on the tongue, is a transparent plate suitable, do I need to have a tooth extracted, is there a need for a surgical procedure, etc., will require an examination and evaluation of your x-rays, so make an appointment as soon as possible. .

Orthodontic

All-on-4 and All-on-6 dental implants are options to replace missing teeth. The All-on-4 involves placement of four implants, while All-on-6 involves placement of six implants. The All-on-6 procedure has a higher chance of requiring bone grafting and is more expensive.

Oral surgery refers to any surgical procedure performed on your teeth, gums, jaws or other oral structures. This includes extractions, implants, gum grafts and jaw surgeries. Oral surgery is usually performed by an oral and maxillofacial surgeon or a periodontist.

Oral Surgery (implantology)

Deficiencies in our tooth brushing habits, inadequate brushing, inability to clean effectively, existing crowns, orthodontic braces, lack of saliva or systemic disorders, and many other factors such as these may cause food accumulation on the tooth surfaces, the inability to clean these residues, and the components in saliva to precipitate and harden in the area where it is located. Since the putrefaction of uncleaned food also contains bacteria, it affects not only our teeth but also our gums. We call the hardened, petrified state of these residues dental stone.

Tartars can form in the area we can see, above the junction of the teeth and the gums, as well as in the parts we cannot see, in the pocket under the gums. These tartars that are not cleaned cause infection, odor and bleeding in the gums, as well as gum recession, and the tartars in the deep pockets that we cannot see can start bone destruction by advancing the infection to the deeper bone. This destruction continues unless the causative factor is eliminated.

Using a special paste for bleeding gums, gargling, or trying to reduce the infection by using antibiotics will only reduce the problem in the short term by suppressing it. In a situation ranging from bleeding, infection, gum recession or osteoporosis, treatment cannot be provided unless the agent and bacteria are eliminated and oral hygiene is maintained.

For adults, 6-month checkups are critical not only for your dental health, but also for your gum health and oral hygiene foundation.
