In 1913 it was expanded with an extension to 39 beds and in 1926/28 with an adjoining new building to 125 beds. An additional extension building was opened in 1964, the hospital now had 560 beds with branch offices. Modernization followed after 1989 and with the closure of the branch offices there were initially 320 beds. Further modernizations followed with a functional wing (2000) and a bed block (2007).
