    Klinikum Dahme-Spreewald Clinic is part of the public services of general interest, with its two modern hospitals in the Dahme-Spreewald district, guarantees qualified, family-oriented and local regular and emergency care for the population. Both hospitals stand for secure jobs and opportunities for education, training and further education. The hospital mission statement creates the binding orientation framework to align the behavior and actions of the individual employees to the joint achievement of the hospital tasks and goals. Every employee undertakes to act according to these values and principles. The Klinikum Dahme-Spreewald consists of the Spreewald Clinic Lubben and the Achenbach-Krankenhaus in Konigs Wusterhausen. Both are hospitals providing qualified standard care, whose mission is to ensure high-quality, local medical care - with the most modern diagnostic, therapeutic, nursing and service standards. This includes the use of new care models, such as interdisciplinary treatment in acute medicine, network formation (oncology) and cooperation with regard to further training and qualification with the Berlin Accident Hospital and the Cottbus Heart Center. The Dahme-Spreewald Clinic has a total of 453 beds, and more than 900 employees take care of more than 25,000 inpatients and over 50,000 outpatients every year. The story of Spreewald Clinic Lubben was built in 1892 as a district hospital with 36 beds and has been regularly expanded and modernized over the course of history. With branch offices, the district hospital had a total of 380 beds in 1950, and well over 400 beds in 1977 with the construction of the new surgical bed house. Since the 100th anniversary in 1992, the hospital has been called Spreewald Clinic Lubben. In 1997, the first and in 2006 the second part of the new building was completed. Today, the Spreewald Clinic Lubben has 211 beds in modern single, double and triple rooms with a shower, flat screen and, if required, a WiFi connection. In 2009/10 the remaining old building on the site (built in 1883 as a military hospital, after 1945 Internal Medicine) and set up as the health and nursing school of the Dahme-Spreewald Clinic Nursing School (today the Health Academy) with 135 places. After the dismantling of the surgical bed house, the hospital pharmacy was rebuilt and opened in 2013. The Achenbach Hospital in Konigs Wusterhausen was established in 1897 as a district hospital with initially 25 beds. In 1913 it was expanded with an extension to 39 beds and in 1926/28 with an adjoining new building to 125 beds. An additional extension building was opened in 1964, the hospital now had 560 beds with branch offices. Modernization followed after 1989 and with the closure of the branch offices there were initially 320 beds. Further modernizations followed with a functional wing (2000) and a bed block (2007). Today, the Achenbach Hospital has 242 beds in modern single, double and triple rooms with a shower, flat screen TV and, if required, a WiFi connection. Qualified basic and standard care with the following departments at Spreewald Clinic Lubben are Internal medicine, General, visceral and vascular surgery, Orthopedics and accident surgery, Gynecology and Obstetrics, Pediatric and adolescent medicine, Anesthesiology and intensive care medicine, Palliative medicine, Diagnostic and interventional radiology, Physiotherapy and Nutritional and diabetes advice. Spreewald Clinic Lubben has a certification according to DIN EN ISO 9001 (2014) and DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 in year 2017. Since 2018, Spreewald Clinic is suitable for diabetic patients. In 2016, it has a Bronze seal of the Clean Hands campaign and Career and Family Certification. Spreewald Clinic has a Seal of quality of private health insurance since 2012. Starting from year 2009, it has awarded as an "Excellent For Children". And last three certifications of Spreewald Clinic Lubben is Certified endometriosis center (Achenbach Hospital, since 2009), DGU certified Trauma Center Lubben since 2012 in the Trauma Netzwerk Brandenburg, and DGU certified Regional Trauma Center Konigs Wusterhausen since 2016 in the Trauma Netzwerk Berlin.
