Today, Medicana Health Group renders healthcare services at international standards in many areas, such as infection control, patient care, risk management, patient safety, employee qualifications, information management, etc. Featured Units of Medicana Avcilar Hospital Intensive Care Services An intensive care unit is defined as a division that keeps impaired body functions secondary to failure of one or more systems within normal ranges, particularly using data processing software during critical care and benefiting from respirators and other supportive devices and requiring top-tier knowledge and skill. The management of Medicana Avcilar Hospital provides patients with a modern care concept by respecting the importance of working principles at the Intensive Care Unit and using all means of technology under the supervision of relevant specialists and delivers based on this approach and specific positions arising out of its history. Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Medicana Avcilar Hospital has four newborn infant beds. The neonatal intensive care unit, which has advanced treatment and diagnosis, serves not only the infants who were born at Medicana Avcilar Hospital but also other infants who were born in other healthcare facilities. Incubators, ventilators, full monitoring, respiratory devices that use standard and alternative methods, blood gas analyzers, cranial ultrasounds, and 24-hour pediatric cardiology support are also offered to all patients in our unit. Offering sufficient space for each patient, our center offers a large area for the family regarding the kangaroo care and it is located immediately nearby the delivery room; entry and exit are strictly observed regarding security. Considering neonatal care, it is very important to have a sufficient number of well-educated nurses along with neonatologists. Each nurse deals with a maximum of two patients in our unit. Interventions and treatments are carried out by neonatologists. The infection rate is far below normal ranges at intensive care units. The infection rate is so low at the hospital thanks to controls at entry and exit, hand hygiene, the use of disposable materials, and routine screenings. Survival chance is significantly higher in babies who were born >25 weeks into the pregnancy. Hospital stays are shorter than overage figures. The rate of eye- and lung-related long-term complications is very low. Too young premature infants are followed up for development, and the chance of motor or mental health problems is very high thanks to the utmost attention given during the hospital stay and the supports available in follow-up. Services are delivered as mentioned above, along with our ongoing efforts for public training and social aid. Medicana Health Group, which aims to provide healthcare services to every segment of society at international standards, increases patient satisfaction with its transparent, reliable, and compassionate approach to the patients, and thus, the Group has been regarded as one of the most valuable brands in our country and has received the title of the health institution mostly preferred by the patients through the quality of its healthcare services. The primary aim of Medicana Health Group is to be a healthcare facility that continuously improves its productivity through its vision of "closely following the most advanced and leading infrastructures and developments". In addition, it aims to follow the development of healthcare services in Turkey and around the world, to adopt internationally recognized methods and practices, and to offer these methods and practices to patients.
